Abrisham is my preferred name, in Farsi/Persian it means ‘Silk’.
I’m researching, learning, creating, testing, trying, writing, finding and innovating to designing open public space that is culturally inclusive and draws on professional advice and research across the globe for sustainability designs and policies that are publicly available for innovating i.e. released under creative commons, freedom software.
In 2023 I graduated from Southern Cross University in Lismore with a degree in environmental science and currently work within the built-environment sector auditing construction products against Green Building Council of Australia sustainability criteria.
At this moment I’m exploring medium-density design and open public space for regional and medium sized cities across the globe that will change the direction of the world towards greater peace.
SelfAbrisham is made up of two words ‘Self’ and ‘Abrisham’.
Abrisham signifies the connection of ideas from East to West to explore the ‘Self’ of our humanity.
Through travel in both the physical and intellectual world we encourage opportunities to find new ways of promoting social cohesion through open space and medium-density and environmental design features and develop our ‘Self’.
Isn’t it possible to incorporate ecological economics, neuroscience and leverage AI technology to integrate new architectural designs into our urban environments to transform our cities into self-actualised spaces which provide ‘adequate food, clothing and housing, and to the continuous improvement of living conditions.’ ? (International Covenant of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, 1966, Art.11.1).
As part of a commitment to environmental and social well-being I’ve pledged to give 5% of my post-13%-salary-sacrificed income towards charity.
I try to direct my charitable contributions evenly between social and environmental causes both locally and internationally.
